From the moment I met Ashley and Matt, I knew their wedding day was going to be as unique as their love story. These two have the kindest hearts and it is clear they absolutely adore one another which made working with them such a pleasure!

The wedding took place on a mild December day, the perfect mix of bright sunshine, crisp air, and smiles so big you could feel the joy radiating from every single person there. The venue for both the ceremony and reception was the Speak Easy located in downtown Indianapolis. Not your usual fancy ballroom, the Speak Easy wowed guests with towering ceilings, exposed brick, and an industrial vibe that was perfect for Ashley and Matt’s art deco-inspired wedding vision. Ashley wanted her wedding to feel like a Gatsby affair and I think she pulled it off perfectly. Between the stunning venue, the geometric details, and her glamorous gown and veil, it felt like you took a step back in time, right into an elegant Gatsby celebration.

The wedding party was made up of Ashley and Matt’s close knit group of friends who brought energy and laughter into every minute of the day. The bridesmaids were showstoppers in striking forest green dresses accompanied by cozy fur shawls. The groomsmen sported black suits and boutonnieres that matched Ashley’s bouquet perfectly.  A small gathering of family and friends made up their guest list, but what they lacked in size they made up for in dance moves. To top it off, the couple’s dog led the way down the aisle which had everyone in the room smiling ear to ear, including me.

As the quirky wedding photographer that I am, nothing sparks joy in my heart more than witty jokes and infectious laughter, and Ashley and Matt checked both of those boxes and more. A huge shout out to the other amazing vendors who made this day possible, and who make being a wedding photographer in Indianapolis so dang fun!
