What is a photographer to do when they’re the one getting married? They choose a photographer friend to capture their day, and I feel so honored that Jasmine chose me. Jasmine is a good friend and fellow Indianapolis wedding photographer who has second shot for me on multiple occasions so it felt completely natural to be a part of her wedding day.
Jasmine married her sweetheart Nick in a gorgeous old house in Glenns Valley Nature Park located in Greenwood, Indiana. They had a very intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family, and a stunning green garland that cascaded down around them. You can tell in an instant that Jasmine and Nick are so smitten with one another which made their wedding day even more meaningful to capture.
I loved every aspect of Jasmine and Nick’s wedding day from the old mansion to the dark and dramatic vibe. If you’ve been following along on my photography journey for awhile you know I take a cinematic approach to my photos which often results in moody, dramatic images inspired by real life moments, and that is exactly what we got with Jasmine and Nick’s wedding photos. They truly tell the emotional story of their wedding day.
After the ceremony, the couple danced their way through an arch of sparklers held by their friends and family which created the perfect opportunity to capture their personalities in action. More friends arrived for the reception and everyone spent the evening dancing joyously and enjoying every moment in each other’s company. I wish you nothing but years and years of happiness, sweet friends. Cheers to Jasmine and Nick.
