If a midsummer night’s dream by Shakespeare were to come to life in our modern day world, it would have looked exactly like Liz and James’ wedding day. It’s hard to find the words to describe their dreamy venues, stunning florals, and overall magicalness of the day.
Liz and James recently relocated to Indianapolis from California to be closer to family. James is in the music industry so an emphasis on music was incorporated throughout their wedding day. The ceremony was held at Gothic Chapel at Crown Hill and guys, I just about died when I walked inside this place. The chapel sits in the center of a gorgeous, sprawling cemetery in the northern part of Indianapolis, and it’s old world style gave off a mysteriously charming vibe that had me swooning.
After the ceremony, Liz, James, and their guests walked through the cemetery to their family’s gravesite for a family photo. It was truly a special moment full of love.
The reception was in Liz’s parents backyard, yet it far exceeded an ordinary backyard party. They rented a stunning greenhouse-style tent and lit hundreds of beautiful candles that complimented the stars shining through the top of the tent. The couple opted for long, wooden, family-style tables adorned with beautiful china and exquisite details. Glass chandeliers hung from the roof of the tent, and luscious greenery was woven throughout the space. When photographers talk about working with dream clients, this is exactly what they mean! I couldn’t have envisioned a more magical night for this sweet and stylish couple, and I am so thankful they chose me to capture their perfect day.
